Why Indonesia

Train where badminton is a national sport

Indonesia is one of the world’s leading badminton nations. The sport is shaped here through repetition, discipline and a deeply rooted training culture.

Smashtravel’s purpose is to bring players into this environment, not simply to complete more sessions, but to experience Indonesian training methods, gain exposure to different playing styles through local and international sparring, and return home with a stronger game, a clearer understanding of their own playing style and a better sense of how to continue their development.

Training environment

Structured training, individual attention

At Bali Badminton Camp, we create a competitive yet supportive environment where junior and adult competitive players from different backgrounds, genders and playing levels can push their limits and develop together.

Training takes place at a local badminton center in the heart of Denpasar and is led by Head Coach Hendra, a former Indonesian elite player with more than 15 years of national and international coaching experience, together with the Smashtravel coaching team.

From the first session, the training program is tailored to each player’s goals, skill level and preferred playing category. Junior and adult groups train separately, and with one coach for every two players, the team can observe each player closely, adapt exercises and provide individual feedback to build on strengths, address weaknesses and develop every aspect of the game.

The program develops:

  • Footwork and movement
  • Technical development
  • Physical conditioning
  • Agility
  • Sparring
  • Match play
  • Tactical development
